Parish Guide

About the Parish of Wonston

Wonston is a Parish of about 11.5 square miles. The Parish is mainly farmland and lies in the valley of the River Dever. A population of some 1500 souls lives in the five settlements of Sutton Scotney, Wonston, Stoke Charity, Norton and Hunton with over 80% living in Sutton Scotney.

This guide is produced by Wonston Parish Council and is designed to provide the reader with useful information about the Parish, its facilities and other local services. It is by no means exhaustive and will of course not remain in date indefinitely. We shall revise and update it periodically and, if you spot any errors or think we have left something out that we should have included, please let us know by contacting us at wonstonpc@hotmail.co.uk or telephoning the Parish Clerk on 01794 368951

We hope you find it useful and informative and make use of it to supplement the comprehensive coverage of Parish activities that appears in the monthly Parish Magazine – The West Dever News.

Please help us to keep this leaflet accurate and contact a member of the Parish Council if you spot anything that needs updating.
